When offering our corporate- & commercial law services to our clients, we have often been asked by manufacturers and owners, if we would apply their seagoing luxury yachts for registration with the ship register at the local court of Hamburg, Germany, too.

Born in Bremerhaven, right at the northern shores of Germany, son of a container ship captain, vested with motorboat driving permits and ever since in touch with sailing & yachting, sailors, pilots, ship builders, etc., Thorsten is the competent lawyer in our firm to take care of your ship registration.

Thorsten will be happy to take care of all of the formal paperwork,
required to register your luxury yacht flying the German flag.

E.g. on your behalf he will be in touch with the manufacturing wharf or pre-owner, will coordinate the ship measurement with the German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH), required for ship registration and will file the application for registration of your luxury yacht with the ship register at the local court of Hamburg (Amtsgericht Hamburg), Germany.

In case a clerk of the court house might have any question re the application (e.g. proof of ownership or else), Thorsten will be happy to take care of it diligently in the name and on your behalf.

Basically, our clients are not „bothered“ at all with the formal paperwork.

We aim to contact our clients only and again, as soon as their luxury yacht has been registered successfully.

Once registered, we will be happy to share the originals of the desired ship certificates, ship register excerpts and special tonnage certificates, etc. with our clients.
